Mr. Forrest Dalton Loy, age 73, 1261 Springwood Ave., died on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health. Born in Alamance County, he was the son of the late Dolph V. Loy and the late Mattie Beula Burke Loy and was married for over 57 years to Mrs. Joyce Mangum Loy, who survives. Mr. Loy was the former owner and President of Treat-Rite Water Services in Chapel Hill and was a member of Swepsonville Baptist Church. Forrest was an avid fisherman and loved staying at the coast. Mr. Loy is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Donna Loy of Burlington and Pamela Loy Daher and her husband, Alan, of Salisbury; two sons, Gregory Loy and his wife, Theresa, and Michael Loy all of Graham; seven grandchildren, Hollie Jeff Troy, Melissa Ingle, Forrest Walker, Bryan Schields, Kris Loy, Christina Schields and Nick Loy; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Clifton G. Loy, William "Bill" Loy, Jerry A. Loy and Burke C. Loy. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Steve McGowan. The family will receive friends from 2-3:45 PM Saturday prior to the service and other times at the home.
