Floyd Klinger

Floyd Warren Klinger, 85, of Morningside Dr. passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Alamance Health Care. A native of Dauphin County, PA he was the son of the late Chester W. and Mary Elizabeth Reichart Klinger and husband of the late Elva McKinney Klinger. He served six years active duty in the US Army, then retired after serving fourteen years in the Army Reserve. He later was employed as a security guard at ATT and Alamance Community College Burlington Campus. He was a member of American Legion Post #63 and Glencoe Baptist Church. Survivors include his sister, Sarah Schreffler of Harrisburg, PA; niece and nephew, who were his caregivers, Deborah and Terry Paschal of Burlington, several other nieces and nephews and faithful friend, Lewis Jessie. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and four siblings. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mr. Klinger will remain at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 12 noon until 12:45pm, prior to the funeral service.
