Florence King

Burlington Florence Parks King, 73, of 2629 Churchill Dr. Went home to be with the Lord, Monday, September 10, 2007 at the Hospice home surrounded by her family. Mrs. King was born October 13, 1933 in Alamance County to the late Roy Alexander Parks and Minnie Sue Miles Parks and she was the wife of the late George Ervin King. Mrs. King was a member of Lakeview Community Church . She was a volunteer at Alamance County Hospital Auxilary for many years. Survivors include her two sons, Terry Lee King and his wife Sheila of Charlotte, NC and Randall Jay King and his wife Dee of Mebane; a granddaughter, Emily Paige King; two grandsons, Jay Robert King and Russell Jay King; a sister in-law, Jean Garrison and her husband Vernon of Burlington; a brother-in-law, Billy King and his wife Mary of Melbourne, Fla; an uncle, Elbridge Boswell of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband , parents and brother-in-law, Robert Lee King. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Reid Dickens. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the residence.
