Florence Cassidy

Burlington, NC Florence Granny Myrtle Shepherd Cassidy 88, died Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Guilford county she was the wife of the late John Edward Cassidy and daughter of the late Tubal A. and Mary A. Isley Shepherd. A member of Just Like Jesus Ministries, she retired from Kayser Roth Hosiery after 35 years of service. Survivors include her son Jimmy Wayne Cassidy, Sr. and his wife Patricia of Burlington, Grandchildren; Sherry Sharpe, Jimmy Wayne Cassidy, Jr., Teressa Griffin, Dennis Batten, Mike Batten, Eddie Cassidy, fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Ann Cassidy, and son-in-law, Johnny Batten. She was preceded in death by her Husband, a son, Rev. Edward Cassidy, daughters, Gathel Brookman, and Janet Batten, parents, a sister, Maude Flacke and a brother Phillip Shepherd. A Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, May 24,2006 at Belmont Baptist Church Cemetery.
