Burlington- Mr. Felix C. "Phil" Miller of 2711 Armfield Avenue, Burlington, died at the Hospice Home in Burlington on Monday, January 3, 2011, after nearly two years of declining health. A native of Orange County, he is survived by his wife Phyllis Coe Miller of the home; two sons, Jason Miller of Elon and Stephen Miller of Burlington; a brother, Marion Miller and two sisters, Josephine Tackett of Rougemont and Alma Lasater of Greenville, S.C. He was preceded in death by his parents Coy and Sallie McBroom Miller and a brother Wayne Miller. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He attended Elon College and retired after nearly 40 years with Alcatel-Lucent. He was a member of Burlington Christian Church where he taught Sunday School for a number of years. A funeral service will be conducted at Burlington Christian Church, 301 Trail Four, Burlington, on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11am by Creighton Beatty, Minister. The Family will greet guests from 10am until 10:45am prior to the service on Friday. The burial will be private. No food needed.
