Faye Phillips

Whitsett Alice Faye "Flossie" Dawkins Eastwood Phillips, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 12, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Orange County to the late Henry Harrison and Betty Riggins Dawkins and was married to the late Johnny Eastwood and the late Claude Phillips. Faye was the owner of "Better Cleaning Service". She was a member of Trulight Baptist Church in Gibsonville and was a member of the "Lady's Club" at Cornerstone Baptist Church. She loved gospel music and enjoyed cooking for her family, especially on Sundays. Faye was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Solomon and husband Wade of Elon and Sheryl Crymes and husband Herb of Whitsett; sons, Ray Eastwood and Ricky Eastwood, both of Whitsett; grandchildren, Shannon Batten and husband Michael, Natalie Cloninger and husband Chad, Wade Solomon Jr., Cameron Crymes, Zachary Crymes, Matthew Eastwood and Ian Eastwood; great grandchildren, Alex, Kaleb, Kelsey, Samantha, Michaela, Nicholas, Lily and Sarah, a brother, Barney Dawkins and wife, Pat and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her step father, Clarence Roberts and a brother, Billy Dawkins. A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Tommy Marley. The family will receive friends 10:00am until 11:45am prior to the service on Thursday and other times at the home of Debbie Solomon at 2508 Bridgeview Rd., Elon, NC 27244. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trulight Baptist Church, 500 First St., Gibsonville, NC 27249.
