Amanda Faye Smith Dabbs, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born in Alamance County to the late Howard Glenn and Lenora Rudd Smith and was married to the late Carson Ira Dabbs who died in 2007. Faye was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Bonny Dabbs; grandchildren, Amanda Jane Cook and husband, Kevin and Michael M.J. Dabbs; great grandchildren, Briana Cook, Kailyn Cook and Hailey Lynn Dabbs; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Joyce Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Michael Mike Dabbs and brother, Ronald Ronnie Smith. The funeral service will be held 1:00pm Friday, March 18, 2016 at Tabernacle Baptist Church by Rev. Norman Fargis with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home. The family would like to express their gratitude to Fayes caregiver, Lynetra Chappell and the caregiver assistants, Trish Korpela and Caroline Prather for all their love and compassion that they showed to Faye during her illness.
