Burlington, NC Fannie Mae Phillippie Marley, age 94, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Barney Herbert Marley. Fannie Mae was retired after working in textiles for many years. She was a longtime member of Low's Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Trinna Sue Marley of the home; sisters, Lucy Culberson of Burlington, Brenda Allen of Mooresville, Alice Marley and Marie Forbes both of Burlington; brothers, Willard Phillippie and his wife, Agnes of Liberty, Burn Phillippie and his wife, Leatrice of Burlington and Glen Phillippie and his wife, Allie Mae of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Everette Phillippie and Cladie Shoffner Phillippie, step mother, Dessie Smithey Phillippie; brothers, June, Leonard and Bobby Phillippie. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 11:00 am by The Rev. Dr. David N. Mielke at Low's Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:00 am prior to the graveside at the church and other times the family will be at the home.
