Death is the chariot our heavenly Father sends to bring us to Himself. On Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, Ms. Fannie Pearl Dawson Clark’s chariot arrived to take her to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, family, and friends forever. She fought a good fight, finished the course and she kept the faith. She was born on October 2, 1934, to James and Mozelle Thomas Dawson, in Guilford County, NC. She was married for 63 years to Mr. James Willard Clark, who went on to be with the Lord on September 11, 2017.
Fannie was saved July 25, 1976, at Antioch Baptist Church. The desire in her heart was to live a life pleasing to the Lord and to see others come to know Him as Savior. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Graham, NC. In her walk with the Lord, she taught children’s Sunday School, helped with Bible School, and led ladies’ fellowships through the years. Fannie had a long professional career of 45 years, with her last 15 years being at Lucent Technologies.
She is survived by son, Kenneth Clark (Denise), Graham, NC; and daughter, Cheryl Aldridge (Mel), Burlington, NC. And, grandchildren Chris Clark (DeAnna), Mocksville, NC; Meredith Fuqua (Kenneth), Burlington, NC, Tim Clark (Elizabeth), Durham, NC, and Max Hodge (Serena), Burlington, NC. And great granddaughters, Piper Fuqua, Burlington, NC and Olivia Clark, Durham, NC; and great grandson, Kosta Clark, Mocksville, NC. Sister, Louise Newell, Gibsonville, NC. Brother, Staley Dawson, Elon, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by husband, James Willard Clark; daughter, Kathy Clark Fogleman and sisters, Mary Stokes, Bertha Brame, Frances Batten; and brothers, John Dawson, Raymond Dawson, Herman Dawson, Roy Dawson, and Howard Dawson.
