E.W. Ferrell

E.W. Alexander Ferrell, 83, of Burlington, died on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was the wife for over 59 years to the late Jim Ferrell and the daughter of J.C. and Elsie Alexander, both deceased. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Elaine Hall and husband Bill of Haw River; sons, Wilson Ferrell and wife Peggy of Raleigh and Wray Ferrell and wife Lu of Cary; ten grandchildren, James Satterfield, Elise Satterfield, Wil Ferrell, Jason Ferrell, Grace Ferrell, Kayla Ferrell, Ricky Ferrell, Elijah Ferrell, Kiara Ferrell and Will Hall and one great grandson, Kadden Satterfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Evelyn Alexander Fansler. The funeral service will held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1126 West Webb Avenue, Burlington at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 16, 2012 by Rev. C. Powell Sykes with interment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 PM Sunday prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alamance County Meals on Wheels, 411 West Fifth St., Suite A, Burlington, NC 27215-3884. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Robin Weddle, friend and caregiver to Mrs. Ferrell. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Ferrell family.
