Everette Scoggins

Burlington - Everette Vance Scoggins, 89, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 17, 2016. He was born in Guilford County on March 23, 1927 to the late Charlie Henry and Laurie Isley Scoggins and was the husband of 70 years to Ruby Dartez Scoggins of the home.
Everette was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was a US Navy Veteran. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of the home; daughters, Sandra Gabriel and husband John Michael of Burlington, Vicky Faucette and husband Sam of Elon; grandchildren, Kim Drews, Shannon Hoffman and Everette Andrew Gabriel; two great grandchildren and sisters, Irene Bradsher and Becky Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ada Mae Eanes and brothers, Howard Scoggins and Harry Lee Scoggins.
A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00pm on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Briant Cullinana, O.F.M., Conv. with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1620 Hanford Rd, Graham, NC 27253.
