Evelyn Solomon

Evelyn Nadean Whitesell Solomon, 84, of 1016 Plaid St. went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 18, 2005 at the Hospice Home. She was the wife of the late Alvis Quint Solomon and daughter of the late Everett and Emma Small Whitesell. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon and worked for Bennett Hosiery Mill in Gibsonville. Survivors include her son, Gary Solomon of the home; granddaughters, Patricia Turner, Mary Greeson, and Melissa Solomon; great grandchildren, Stephanie Turner, Jonathan and Matthew Greeson; sister, Peggy Shaw. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter, Carolyn S. Carter; sister, Rena Brumble; and brother, Newman Whitesell Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at First United Methodist Church of Elon by the Rev. Terry Huffines. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
