Evelyn Slott

Mrs. Evelyn Davis Slott, age 89, died Friday, July 15, 2011 at the home of her son. A native of Manteo, NC, she was the wife of the late Edwin Frederick Slott who died in 1976 and daughter of the late Isaac Peter and Susan Hines Davis. Mrs. Slott was a longtime member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter and the Episcopal Church Women. She was a graduate of UNC-Greensboro and a member of the Alamance Service League, the Toppers Club and the Alamance Country Club. Survivors include her two sons, Dr. Edwin Frederick Slott, Jr. and wife Marcia of Charleston, SC, and Dr. Steven D. Slott and wife Nancy of Burlington; daughter, Ann Slott Moore of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Meredith Slott Wallner and husband James, Mary Emily Slott, Steven D. "Bo" Slott, Jr. and wife Heather, Frederick M. Slott and wife Melanie, David E. Moore, Jr., Sarah Elizabeth Moore and Ann Davis Moore; 2 great grandchildren and sister, Elizabeth Davis Macnab of Rehoboth Beach, DE. A graveside service will be held at 4:00pm Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Magnolia Cemetery in Elon by the Rev. Rod Reinecke. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell; 914 Chapel Hill Rd.
