Evelyn Lafontaine

Evelyn Suarez Lafontaine, 62, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital.  A native of Puerto Rico, she was born on September 2, 1958 to the late Felipe Suarez and Carmen Lafontaine.

Evelyn enjoyed cooking for her family and friends always welcoming everyone with a cup of coffee. She loved sewing and working with all types of craft. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn (Johnny) Richardson of Whitsett, Elsie (Robert Huzina) Boria of High Point and Eneida Boria of Greensboro; her son, Raul (Sullay) Boria of Greensboro; grandchildren, Michael (Joelys Villanueva) Santiago, Orangellys Santiago, Abranshka Richardson, Hiram Medero, Hilarish Muriel, Milady Virella, Samil Virella, Asis (Adamari) Allende, Raulin Boria and Sullayris Boria; great grandchildren, Ossian Boria and Alinna Santiago and those she raised, Miguel Morales and Yajahira Ramos. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul Boria and her parents and siblings.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 4PM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:45pm prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.

Evelyn disfrutaba cocinar para su familia y amigos siempre ofreciendo una taza de casa a quien la visitaba. A ella le encantaba coser y trabajar con todo tipo de manualidades. Ella fue una amorosa y devota esposa, madre, abuela y bisabuela.

Sobrevivientes incluye sus hijas, Evelyn (Johnny) Richardson de Whitsett, Elsie (Robert Huzina) Boria de High Point y Eneida Boria de Greensboro; su hijo, Raul (Sullay) Boria de Greensboro; nietos, Michael (Joelys Villanueva) Santiago, Orangellys Santiago, Abranshka Richardson, Hiram Medero, Hilarish Muriel, Milady Virella, Samil Virella, Asis (Adamari) Allende, Raulin Boria y Sullayris Boria; bisnietos, Ossian Boria y Alinna Santiago ademas de los que crio, Miguel Morales y Yajahira Ramos. Precede en muerte a su esposo, Raul Boria y sus padres y hermanos.

Se ofrecera un servicio para celebrar su vida a las 4PM el Miercoles, Julio 21, 2021 en la Capilla de la Funeria Lowe. La familia recibira amigos de 2:30-3:45pm antes del servicio.

Memoriales se pueden hacer en el centro de caridad de preferencia del donante.
