Evelyn Chrismon

Ruth Evelyn Barnes Chrismon, 81, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Hospice Home. She was born in Davidson County to the late Lindsey Lewis Barnes and the late Addie Louise Parrish Barnes and was the wife of 60 years to William Douglas "Doug" Chrismon who survives. Evelyn was a homemaker and a former employee with Meredith-Webb, Colonial Press and Foster Palm both in Chapel Hill. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Whitsett. Survivors other than her husband, Doug Chrismon include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tricia Chrismon; grandchildren, Abbie-Kate Chrismon, Matthew Chrismon and Maxton Chrismon. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. The funeral service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Tim Stevens with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
