Eva Thomas

Burlington-Eva Lee Honeycutt Thomas, 99 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 8, 2018. She was born in Haskell, Oklahoma to the late Earlie Eugene and Daisy Helen Hallows Honeycutt.
Eva retired from Bank of America after 26 years of service. She was baptized into the Christian faith and attended church with her son when her health permitted. She enjoyed ball room dancing and has traveled throughout the continental US during her lifetime.
Survivors include her sons, Norm Morris and wife, Linda of Burlington and Arthur Lee Morris of California; grandchildren, Andrew J. Morris and wife, Anna of Burlington, Jeffrey A. Morris and wife, Brenda Jo of Roxboro, April L. Morris and Hope . Morris both of South Carolina, Tracey Sousa of California and Dana Morris of California; numerous great grandchildren and her canine companion "Maddie". She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Willis T. Morris and her former husband, Thomas J. Thomas; son, Larry T. Morris; sister, Madelyn Merimon and a brother, Eugene Honeycutt and wife, Betty.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Elon by hospice chaplain, Carolyn Burris and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
