Eva Miles

Eva Newell Miles, 63 of Burlington Ave. passed away at her home Saturday, July 11, 2009. She was born Sept. 25, 1945 in Guilford County to the late Julius and Lucy Lowe Newell. Eva was employed by Engineered Controls International in Elon for twenty-five years. She was a member of New Testament Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Vicky Mike Davis of Greensboro, sons, Phillip Kay Miles of Reidsville, John W. Miles, Jr. of Gibsonville, a granddaughter Allison Davis, step grandchildren Jessie Goforth, Curtis Goforth, Jr., Sherry Reynolds, step great grandchildren, Jessie Lee Goforth, Jr., Ethan Goforth, Kayla Reynolds, Nicholas Reynolds, sisters, Betty Claude Permar of Greensboro, Amy Eddie Turner of kernersville, brothers, Bill Joann Newell of Gibsonville and Wayne Jean Newell of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Pat Newell, a brother Larry Newell and a niece Sharon Newell. The funeral will be held 3:00 PM Thursday at Ossipee Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Peace Lutheran Church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of her brother Bill Newell, 6645 Friedens Church Rd., Gibsonville.
