Eunice Smith

Burlington, NC Eunice Carol Hinshaw Smith, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Carl Lee Smith. Eunice worked for many years at Sellars Department Store and later retired from Belk Beck. She was a member of The First Wesleyan Church. Eunice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved the Lord.. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy Tim and Diane Smith of Eden and Mark and Kathryn Smith of Stoney Creek; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sister, Lucille H. Williams of Graham; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Phyllis Hinshaw of Burlington and Donald and Vanetta Hinshaw of Easton, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Vern Albert and Rosie Alice Bare Hinshaw; sisters, Olene Scott and Alma Moore; brothers, Hurley Hinshaw and V.A. Hinshaw, Jr. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Steve Saunders. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory prior to the service and other times the family will be at the sons home, Mark Smith, 6418 Clubside Drive , Stoney Creek, NC.
