Burlington- Eula Taylor Clayton, 91, of 1383 Isley School Rd., went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the Hospice Home. A native of Orange County, she was born on April 16, 1915, to the late William Henry and Luna Taylor Eastwood. She was married to the late Thomas Albert Clayton for 51 years until his death in 1983. She worked for many years at Seven Point Hosiery Mill and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Mebane. Mrs. Clayton is survived by five children; Grace Cole of Sioux City, Iowa, Jimmy Clayton and wife Judy of Burlington, Joann Moreno of Anderson, S.C., Buddy Clayton and wife Ida of Laurel, MD, and Linda Jacobs of Mebane; Sixteen grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Dallas Taylor of Graham, and James Taylor of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Louise Burgess of Mebane; Beloved Pet of 15 years Tootles. Mrs. Clayton was preceded in death by her step-father J. P. Eastwood; two brothers, Ed Taylor and Eddie Taylor; and three sisters, Lena Sue Taylor, Viola Taylor, and Annie Lee Groce. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Wayne Howard and Rev. Darryl Kroeze. Interment will follow at Wheeler Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of the son at 2019 D S. Mebane St. Burlington.
