Eugene Watson

Eugene Martin "Dude" Watson, age 84, of 703 Loop Road, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 6, 2013. A native of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Harold Randolph and Ethel Martin Watson and husband of Sandra Talley Watson who survives. He was retired from Burlington Industries, Reidsville Plant with 49 years of service and was a member of People's Memorial Christian Church where he touched many lives. Dude loved life and loved his family. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Sandra Talley Watson of the home; daughter, Debra Watson Marshall and husband Steve Malbe Marshall; daughter, Janis Carol Watson; adopted daughter, Terri Lynn Hodges; daughter, Amy Watson Davis and husband Wade Jeffrey Davis and their children, Sarah Louise Davis, Andrew Jared Vaughn and wife Melissa Newton Vaughn and Thomas Watson Vaughn and wife Amber Nan Vaughn; son, Richard Andrew Watson and wife Lori Whitley Watson and their children Whitley Ann Watson, Erica Faith Watson and Katy Star Watson; sister, Betsy Watson Wall and two great grandchildren, Jackson Wyatt Vaughn and Tucker Watson Vaughn. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, February 10, 2013 in the People's Memorial Christian Church by Rev. John D. Shields, pastor/friend. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at the residence at other times.
