Esther Flintom

Esther Bailey Flintom of Burlington died on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Alamance Health Care Center. She was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Robert L. Bailey, Sr. and the late Sallie Worsham Bailey, and was the wife of the late George Rincher Flintom, Jr. Mrs. Flintom was owner and operator of Sewing For You and she was a member of Front St. Methodist Church, former member of the Jr. Woman's Club and the Garden Club. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Mike Hale of Burlington, Ann and Chris Cannon of Albany, GA; grandchildren, Matthew Dawkins and Elizabeth Randleman, both of Burlington, Christie Cannon and Flin Cannon, both of Albany, GA; great grandchildren, Taylor Dawkins, Summer Randleman and Luke Dawkins; sisters, Pauline Bailey Weldon of LasCrusus, NM, Jean Bailey Penry of Greensboro; brothers, Retired Col. Robert L. Bailey, Jr. of Fairfax, VA, and Franklin Delano Bailey of Orlando, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Ruth Bailey Kimble and brothers, Herbert Otwa Bailey and Brockton Lyon Bailey. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Melinda Penry. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
