Ervin "Erv" Guy Reeder, Jr., 90 of 410 Peele St. passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at his home following at short illness. He was born November 30, 1918 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ervin Guy Reeder, Sr. and Anna Louise Reveal Reeder After serving in the Army Air Corps during WW II he was employed by Pacific Telephone. He retired after thirty five years of service. Erv was of the Lutheran faith and a 32nd degree Mason. He was quite a character who had a zest for living life to the fullest. He loved working on, restoring and driving fast cars almost as much as spending time with his family. In the last years of his life he moved to North Carolina to live with his son and family. Always with a big smile, hand shake or open arms he was glad to see you. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Vera Reeder of Burlington, grandchildren and spouses; Dawn and Steve Pieczko, David and Jennifer Reeder, Melissa and Devin Weber, seven grandchildren, a sister "Cricket" Porch of Florida, wife Constance Reeder of Montana. He was preceded in death by a daughter Christine Reeder, his parents, a brother and three sisters. A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Scott Comrie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Alamance County, 711 Hermitage Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to the charity of choice
