Ernestine Creed

Ernestine Peake Creed, 90, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Twin Lakes Healthcare Center one month shy of her 91st birthday. She was born on December 11, 1924 in Keystone, WV and was the daughter of the late Robert and Doxie Martin Peake. Ernestine was married for 69 years to her beloved husband, Ernest Creed who survives. Mrs. Creed attended Northfork High School in WV. She was a devoted member of Grove Park Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class. She was also a member and past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, William Ernest Creed; son, Robert "Bob" Creed and his wife Mary of Durham; several nieces and nephews and her grand dog Roscoe. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and her grand dog Asta. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Grove Park Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Hunsinger and Rev. David Morton with burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM Sunday prior to the service at the church.
