Ernest Dean

Ernest Dean Loy, 56, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Alamance County to Ernest L. Loy and Dorothy Dean Taylor Loy who both survives and was the husband to Cheryl Ward Loy of 14 years who survives. Dean retired from the state and was a US Air Force Veteran. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many and will be missed dearly. Survivors other than his wife, Cheryl and parents, Ernest and Dorothy Loy includes his son, Chance Dean Loy; daughters, Amber Lewis and husband, Edward, Tiffany Coleman and Jessica Loy; grandchildren, Jeremy Small, Landon Coleman, Skyler Coleman, Alexus Sheppard, Angelina Venable and Kathryne Venable; brother, Tracey Loy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Rick Faircloth, Wendy and Billy Mansfield, Bobbie and Jeff Cobb; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Trina Sheppard and grandson, Patrick Venable. The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday, July 20, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bennie Smith with burial to follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the residence and at his parent's home in Burlington.
