Erma Ward

Erma M. Robertson Ward, 92, formerly of Keck Dr. passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Boyd N. Robertson and the late Roy Ward. Erma was born February 11, 1916 in Caswell County to the late Pierson Brooks and Iona Frances Kimbro McKinney. Erma was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class at the church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her daughter Peggie R. Mann of Graham, sisters; Dorothy M. Beal and Hattie M. Marshall both of Burlington, brothers; Charles A. McKinney, Marvin B. McKinney both of Burlington, grandchildren; Carla and Larry King, Teresa and Dean Harris, Brian and Rayanne Mann all of Burlington, great grandchildren; Chandler King, Nick King, Samantha King, Bethany Harris, Charlie Mac Mann and Ruth Mann. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, parents, sisters; Elva M. Klinger, Lillian M. Ross, Louise M. Thomas and Mildred M. McNeill. The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Gene Hunsinger. Interment will follow in St. Mark's Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 9:45 10:45 AM Thursday prior to the service and at other times at the home of her daughter, 1914 Meadow Green Dr., Graham.
