Erma Smart

Mrs. Erma Trollinger Smart, age 81, of Graham, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late James Elmo Trollinger and the late Carrie Gattis Trollinger and was married to the late Kenneth Smart, who died in 2008. Erma retired from Western-Electric, was a member of Ireland St. Chapel and was a former Lifeline volunteer. Mrs. Smart is survived by her two sons, Jay Andrews of Graham and Jeff Andrews and his wife, Pam, of Burlington; two grandchildren, April Crawford and Jon Andrews; and three great grandchildren, Austin Crawford, Kayle Andrews and Kyrah Andrews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Shirley Sutton and Carrie Lashley; and a brother, James Trollinger. The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Tuesday afternoon at the home of her son, Jay Andrews, 408 W. Pine St., Graham, NC. All other services will be private. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is serving Mrs. Smart's family.
