Erma Foy Perry Paschal, 85, went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 27, 2015 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. A native of Alamance County, she was born March 30, 1929 to the late Richard Leroy and Suda Andrews Perry and was the wife of 64 years to Uri Alvin "U.A." Paschal, Jr. of the home. Erma was a member of People's Memorial Christian Church for over 50 years. She was a member of the Ladies Circle, the Macy May Sunday School Class and faithfully attended Thursday morning Bible Studies. She loved baking, cooking, sewing and crocheting in her spare time. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a friend to many. She is survived by her husband of the home; daughters, Julie P. Guffey and husband Tim of Burlington, Donna P. Knighten of Lawrenceville, VA; sons, James "Jimmy" Paschal and wife Julie and David Lee Paschal, all of Burlington; grandchildren, Kerrii G. Lidke and husband Robert, Nick Guffey, Sarah Knighten, Dylan Knighten and Jessica Paschal; a great granddaughter, Adalyn Guffey; sisters, Norma Lee Wood of Clinton, NC and Dura Mae Dark of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Leroy and Suda Andrews Perry; brothers, Bernard Perry, Dwight Perry, Hilton Perry, Hubert Perry and a sister, Ophelia P. Teague. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, March 2, 2015 at People's Memorial Christian Church by Pastor John Shields and her nephew, Rev. Andrew Wood with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm on Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her son, Jimmy Paschal.
