Elsie Scott Hall transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 18, at the Hospice Home.
Elsie, who was born on June 26, 1932, was a native of Pittsylvania County, VA. In October 1950 she relocated to Burlington, living with her cousins, James and Elizabeth Scott. Soon after her arrival, she met the love of her life, Charles Hall. They were married on September 27, 1951, and were blessed to have almost 60 years of marriage before Charles’ passing in 2011. They made their first home on North Ashland Drive, which was near Charles’ work at Western Electric and to Northside Presbyterian Church, where they were active members.
Elsie was the daughter of the late George and Vanna Scott. Her siblings which predeceased her were Jack, Ed, Eunice Scott and Elizabeth Hodges. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Janice Hall Holland, and her son, Keith M. Hall.
Elsie is survived by her daughter, Elaine Hall Haller, and her husband Stephen. She has four grandsons: Bryan Mills (Jennifer); Brandon Mills, Spencer Ip and Cameron Holland. Her great grandchildren are Jacob Gatewood, Maddy Mills, Gracie Mills, Olivia Spangler and Christian Mills.
The celebration service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jim Mitchell with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45pm to 1:45pm Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank all who assisted in making Elsie’s life richer these past few years. She was a delightful lady who will be missed.
