Elsie Garner

Burlington - Elsie Grissom Baker Garner, 73, of Alamance Health Care Center went to be with the Lord Friday July 28, 2006. She was the wife of the late John Albert Garner and the daughter of the late Eugene and Susie Matthews Grissom. She was a native of Warren County, a homemaker and a member of Today's Church of Hope. Survivors include her daughters, Amanda Gammon, Mary Ann Baker, Carolyn Turlington all of Burlington; a son Tommy Baker and his wife Carolyn of Burlington, thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a son Taylor Glen Pegram. The funeral will be held 4:00 PM Sunday July 30, 2006 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. William Baker. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:30 -3:30 Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of the son Tommy Baker at 1127 Flora Ave. Burlington.
