Mrs. Elsie Mae Lashley Crenshaw, age 82, of 1667 Wheeler-Bridge Rd., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 16, 2010. She passed away peacefully at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital after a short illness. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Tingel Lashley and the late Lula Terrell Lashley and was married for over 64 years to Roderick Lawrence "Red" Crenshaw, who survives. She retired from Leath Hosiery Mill after serving over 40 years in the textile industry and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Mrs. Crenshaw is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Jerry Ann Powers and her husband, Paul, of the home and Peggy Jo Vickers of Burlington; a grandson, Larry Raymond King, Jr. and his wife, Sherri; and a great grandson, Roderick Lawrence "Rick" King all of Burlington. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Dr. Don Carter. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 8:30 Tuesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to The Palliative Care Unit at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital, 1200 N.
