Elizabeth Vickers

Gibsonville - Elizabeth Boothe Vickers, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Clapp's Nursing Center in Pleasant Garden. She was born in Russell County, VA to the late John Marshall Boothe and Sarah Belle King Boothe and was married to the late Joseph Clarence Vickers. She was a member of Gibsonville Evangelical Methodist Church. Elizabeth was very talented at crafts and alterations and sold them out of her home.

She is survived by her daughters, Fern (Jimmy) Hartsoe and Lois Peters; son, Carl Vickers; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister and seven brothers.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Paul Speagle with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter, Lois Peters.
