Elizabeth Hurdle

Alamance, NC Elizabeth Shoffner Hurdle, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Edward Lee Hurdle. Elizabeth retired from Meals of Wheels and was a member of Alamance Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Davis of Elon; son, Richard L. Hurdle of Alamance; grandson, Britt Davis of Raleigh and a sister, Helen Shoffner Stokes of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Claude and Beulah Crouse Shoffner; brothers, Allen Shoffner and Jack Shoffner and twin brothers, Claude and Clarence Shoffner. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Alamance Lutheran Church by Rev. James Lockley. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service in the parlor of the church. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
