Elizabeth Anne Arthurs “Libby” Hoyle, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Carteret Memorial Hospital in Morehead City. She was born in Iredell County on July 31, 1932 to the late Gurney Floyd and Vera Karriker Arthurs and was the wife of 71 years to Edward Alvin “Ed” Hoyle, Jr. of the home.
Ed and Libby had many opportunities to travel with their State Farm Insurance friends and beloved church friends. Libby was a wonderful homemaker and cook and was also an avid dog lover having had four dachshunds over the years! Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Edward; daughters, Debbie Bolick (Kent) and Diane Pennington (Randy); grandchildren, Brent Jacques (Jennifer), Alison Poole (Cliff), Beth Bolick, Edward Arthurs Mandrano (Destiny) and Meredith Pennington; and great grandchildren, Grant Jacques, Leighton Jacques, Jake Poole, Brady Poole, Rose Poole, Magnolia Farrall and Lily Mandrano. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Arthurs, Ralph Arthurs and William Arthurs; and sisters, Margaret Goodwin and Nancy Griffin.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bobby Hoyle. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
