Burlington - Elizabeth Ann Bernhardt "Lisa" Brandt, 55, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1960 in Glynn County, GA to Frank Christian Bernhardt and Martha Jean Walker Bernhardt and was the wife to Stuart Nelson Brandt of 33 years who survives.

Lisa was an elementary school teacher with the Alamance Burlington School System and was currently a teacher with AO Elementary. She was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where she was very active and a lifelong Lutheran.

Survivors other than her husband, Stuart and her parents, Frank and Martha Bernhardt include her daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Dusty Summers; sons and daughter-in-law, Alan and Ashley Brandt, James "Jeb" Brandt; grandson, Bentley Brandt; brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Beth Bernhardt; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and William Floyd; several nieces and nephews

The memorial service will be held 10:00AM Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Macedonia Lutheran Church by Pastor Richard Goeres. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Wednesday evening at Macedonia Lutheran Church and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alamance Battleground Friends, Inc., c/o Lisa Brandt Memorial, 5803 S. NC Hwy 62, Burlington, NC 27215.
