Eliud Hebblethwaite

Eliud David "EL" Hebblethwaite, 71, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Hospice Home. He was born in Lyons, New York to the late Daniel Eliud Ortiz and Marian Elizabeth Shippers Hebblethwaite who survives. He was the husband to Sylvia Riley King Hebblethwaite of the home. "EL" was a former employee with the Postal Distribution Center in Greensboro. He was a US Army Veteran and he retired from the US Navy Reserve. "EL" was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed square dancing with Sylvia and their friends. Survivors other than his wife, Sylvia King Hebblethwaite and his mother, Marian Shippers Hebblethwaite, include his children and spouses, Ellyn and Peter Calquhoun, Kim Boronczyk and Michael Dracker, Duane Hebblethwaite, Ryan and Courtney Hebblethwaite, Deborah and Gray Byrd and Julie Terrell; grandchildren, Kory Boronczyk, Aryn Hebblethwaite, Graylyn Byrd, Meryl Byrd, Ezra Byrd and Jerry Terrell; sisters, Sandy Hebblethwaite and Ruth "Tracy" Sabo; brothers, Ron, Dave, Dan, Bob and Chris Hebblethwaite. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Levi Terrell and his father, Charles Hebblethwaite. The celebration service will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Holly Lux-Sullivan.
