Elaine Thurau

Elaine Barbara Adams Thurau, 80, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her residence. She was married to Raymond "Ray" Thurau for fifty-nine years and was born July 28, 1934 in Patterson, NJ to the late Rosario Roberto and Grace Ganguzza Adams. Elaine had worked in Hart, Schaffner and Marx supporting the airline industry. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she had been very active. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Beloved wife of Raymond Thurau. Beloved mother of daughter Heidi Norwick and her husband Howie of Burlington, sons; Jeff Thurau of New York, Paul Thurau and his wife Catherine of New York. Beloved brother Raymond Carmine Adams and his wife Diana of Deland, FL, grandchildren; Hannah, Edward and Jillian Norwick, Shelbi, Karissa, Christopher, Theresa Thurau and a great grandchild Lyla. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Rev. Briant Cullinane, O.F.M. Conv. The family will receive friends 10:00 12:00PM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of her daughter Heidi.
