Elaine Linda Job Avillion

Elaine Linda Job Avillion, 69, passed away at home on Monday, September 18, 2023. She was born on March 6, 1954 in Somerville, NJ to the late Kenneth Mason Job and Dolores Elaine Schultz Job.  She spent her childhood in Freeland, PA, attended nursing school, and married her high school sweetheart, Vince.

Elaine carried herself with confidence, always smiling and happy.  She never complained about anything, took life as it came, and made the best of it every day.  Elaine was warm, intelligent, vibrant, and strong-willed; and she had a fabulous sense of humor.  She left a lasting imprint on the souls of all who knew her.

Elaine spent her life caring for others. She retired after a long career as a practical nurse, working in schools, facilities for individuals with developmental disabilities, and nursing homes.  Elaine was a fan of Penn State football and New York Yankees baseball; she loved music, hummingbirds, the beach, and watching Jeopardy; and she always had at least one dog by her side at home.

Above all, Elaine loved and had an immense amount of pride in her family. She defended her pack with undying loyalty and maybe some special otherworldly powers when necessary. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Vincent James Avillion; a son, Michael Thomas Avillion and his wife Jill; a daughter, Janene Maria Druck and her husband Josh; grandchildren, Jackson, Mason, Kiera, and Emily; her sister Carol; and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial gathering will be held by the family at a later date.
