Effie Lemons

Effie Mae Linker Lemons, 73, passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Lemons was born September 21, 1933 in Concord, NC to the late Walter Alexander and Carrie Burris Linker. She was the widow of the late James Rufus Lemons who preceded her in 2001. She worked for Aramark at Elon University and was a member of Shallow Ford Christian Church. Mrs. Lemons was a member of the Shallow Ford Square Dance Club and Carousel Square Dance Club. Survivors include a son, J. Michael Lemons and his wife Kaye of San Francisco, Ca; a daughter, Christie Cantrell and her husband Glenn of Panama City, Fl; five grandchildren, Jamie Lemons, Michelle Lemons, Alex Cantrell, Mariah Cantrell, and Steven Cantrell. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger Mayleen Lemons and three sisters, Louise Morrison, Elise Dulin, and Anna Belle Lefler. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bruce Ritter. A graveside service will held at 2:00 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, NC. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
