Edward Watson, Jr.

Edward Watson, Jr., 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on May 5, 1939 in Scotland County to the late Edward Watson, Sr. and Fannie Buchanan Watson, and was the husband of 48 years to Debra Sharon Phillips Watson who survives.

 He retired after 24 years with Glen Raven Mills. Edward enjoyed planting a garden and growing vegetables but most of all he loved spending time with his family and his canine companion “Molly”.

 Survivors other than his wife, Debra include his children, Billy Watson and wife Terri, Jeanette Harris and husband Jeff, David Watson and wife Dana, Sandra Watson, Robin Small, Jennifer Jones, and Dana Kelsey; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Eddie Watson; a sister, Sadie Bass and eleven more sisters.

 There will be no services.
