Edward James "Jim" Parker, Jr.

    Edward James “Jim” Parker, Jr., 84, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Hospice Home.  A native of Alamance County, he was born June 8, 1938 to the late Edward James Parker, Sr. and Edna Glenn Parker and was the husband of nearly 60 years to Judy Carolyn Ward Parker of the home.

   Jim attended Bellemont UMC for many years and was the former owner of Jim’s Curb Market. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and most of all he loved spending time with his girls, grandchildren and his dogs.

  Survivors include his wife, Judy; daughters, Jennifer Coleman (John), Susan Parker; grandson, Parker Coleman; granddaughter, Rachel Coleman, brothers, Tommy and Joe Parker; sister, Judith Parker and numerous nieces and nephews.

    A graveside service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held 11:30am on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Bellemont United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Farron Duncan officiating.  The family will receive friends and family 30 minutes prior to the service in the Christian Life Center.
