Edna Flynn

Burlington, NC Edna Louise Lou Mansfield Flynn, age 74, of 1153 N. Riverview Drive went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 20, 2007 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of 56 years to William J. Flynn. Edna retired from Gold Toe in Mebane and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, William J. Flynn of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Robin Brown and her husband, Mark of Mebane; sons and daughter-in-law, Bobby Flynn of the home; Richard Flynn of Burlington and Gerald Flynn and his wife, Patricia of Burlington; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Gilbert of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ormand and Leona Smith Mansfield; sister, Elva Howard and a brother, Charles Bud Mansfield. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church by Dr. Tommy Cook and the burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of Robin Brown, 1288 Gunn Poole Road, Mebane, NC 27302.
