Edna Brewer

Edna Williamson Brewer, 82, died on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Alamance after several months of failing health. She was born in Rockingham County to the late D. W. and Sarah Jane Emerson Williamson and was married to Raymond C. Brewer, who survives. She was a former employee of the Hitching Post and was a member of Westview Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband of the home, a daughter, Jean Brewer Covington of North Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Matt Mitchell and his wife Alice of Mooresville, Maria Covington Tulloss and her husband Harrison of Raleigh, Megan Covington Baker and her husband Jim of Haw River; great grandchildren, Cameron, Harris and Ward. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Verna Brewer Mitchell, parents, and a brother, James Williamson. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the granddaughter's home, Megan Baker, 2241 Millbrook Dr., Haw River.
