Edith Lynn

Hampshire, IL Edith Eleanor West Lynn, 72, went home to be with the Lord September 12, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Cumberland County to the late John Lacy and Christine Coleman West. Edith was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed drawing, painting and crocheting afghans. Her first love was Elvis Presley. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Survivors include her daughters, Jackie Malek and husband, Tim of Hampshire, IL and Denise Villarreal and husband, Mike of Belvidere, IL; son, John Walters of Hampshire, IL; grandchildren, Jeff, Tim, Tiffany, Nicole, Henry, Harley, Hayes, Britney, Bethanny, Steven; great grandchildren, Alexis, Henry, Antonio, Romeo, Christian, Isabella, Xavier, Jose and Anthony; sister, Carolyn Faye Richards and a brother, John Ray "Mickey" West and wife, Teresa. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandy Walters; grandson, Michael Walz and sisters, Shelby Jean Walters, Eva Dare Busby and Alice Gray Geyer. A service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00am Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Jackson. A visitation with reception will follow the service at the funeral home.
