Edith Fogleman

Burlington - Edith Eugenia Fogleman, 95, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Alamance/Caswell Hospice Home. She was born on March 7,1923 in Moore County, NC to the late Eddie Bryan Morgan and Eugenia Burns Morgan and was married to the late Dr. Clarence Millard "Jack" Fogleman, Jr. who died in 2000.

Edith was a loving mother and was also very supportive of her husband during his ministry of 40 years. Together they served churches in the United Methodist Conferences of North Carolina and Kansas. Edith loved nature, especially birds and animals of all kinds. She enjoyed singing playing and listening to hymns. As a member of Front Street United Methodist Church, Edith was an active member of her circle bible study and prayer groups. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Edith is survived by her sister, Juanita Johnson; her daughter, LaDonna Boyd and husband, Vic; sons, Ron Fogleman and Dr. Lynn Fogleman and wife, Sharon; grandchildren and spouses, John and Katherine Zazenski, Paul and Donna Zazenski, Kurt and Annie Fogleman, Mark and Kenzi Fogleman and Joella Fogleman; and great grandchildren, Jackson, Zari, Emma, Calen, William, Cora and Nicholas. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, Virginia Yow and a brother, Jennings Morgan.

The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Friday, June 22, 2018 at Front Street United Methodist Church Chapel by Rev. Patrick Murphy with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 1:45pm Friday at the church in the Heritage Center prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
