Burlington, NC Edith Faulkner Berry, age 81 of 1209 Cleveland Avenue went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late James Norman Berry, Sr. Edith was a retired textile employee and a homemaker. She was a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she devoted herself to her family. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Norma Moore and her husband, Wiley of Gibsonville and Deborah Burns and her husband, Rick of Winterville, NC; son and daughter-in-law, James Berry and his wife, Martha of Kernersville, NC; grandchildren, Amy Curtis Gilland, Kelly Burns, Jim and John Berry; great grandchildren, Travis Clayton, Meredith and Kevin Gilland; brothers, Donald, James and John Faulkner all of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter James Faulkner and Wilma Sumner Faulkner; sisters, Mary Dell Faulkner Haith Chambers and Josephine F. Brown; and a brother, Ernest D. Faulkner. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Tommy Willis and assisted by Rev. Bennie Smith and the burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times the family will be at the home.
