Burlington Mr. Edgar Fields "Eddie" Harris, 68, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at his home from a sudden illness. He was born in Wake County to the late John Lucius Harris and the late Ruby Lewis Harris and was the husband of 15 years to Kathleen Woodell Harris who survives. Mr. Harris retired after 32 years with Western Alamance High School as the Band Director and the Fine Arts Director. He was the founder of the N.C. Central Band Festival and was a member of the Western Alumni Band "Blue Flame" and of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church. Mr. Harris is survived by his wife of the home, sons and daughters-in-law, John Lyman and Shannon Harris, Kenyon Lee and Staci Harris; grandchildren, Hannah, Cole, K.J. and Alli Harris all of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Linda Carol Harris and granddaughter, Kadence Leigh Harris. The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Friday, November 30, 2012 at Stony Creek Presbyterian Church by Rev. Randolph Wellford with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8pm Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Harris will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie instate 30mins prior to the service on Friday.
