Dwight Daniel "Danny" Dixon, age 68, of 414 N. Beaumont Ave. passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at Hospice Home. A native of Alamance County, Danny was the son of the late Jack Holt Dixon and Lowrene Tinnin Dixon who survives. He attended Ireland Street Chapel. He worked for Dixon's Transmissions with his dad and vocational trades for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing with his cats and sharing his stories with everyone. He also enjoyed riding his nieces and nephew in the trailer behind his 4-wheeler when they were younger. He has a special place in all of our hearts. Survivors include his mother, Lowrene Tinnin Dixon of the home; brother, Joe A. Dixon and wife Robin of Burlington and sister, Grosidean D. Thomas and husband Wayne of Siler City. 4 nieces, 7 nephews and 11 great nieces, 9 great nephews, 1 great great niece and 2 great great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Phyllis Scott and a brother, Frank Holt Dixon and nephew, Michael Judd Scott. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 20, 2012 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Eddie Schwartz. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Danny will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from11:00am to 11:45am prior to the funeral service and at the residence at other times.
