Dwayne Phillips

Dwayne Keith Phillips, 32, of 414 Dodson Rd. passed away Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Duke University Medical Center from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was the husband of Diana Urbina Phillips and the son of the late Donald Ray Phillips and Betty Shambley Moore who survives. Dwayne was a native of Alamance County, worked for Honda Power Equipment and served in the US Navy. He loved to hunt, fish and raise his chickens. He was a great husband, father, and son who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of the home, children Diego Urbina, Karin Phillips, Ray Phillips all of the home, mother and stepfather Betty and Jerry Moore of Burlington, paternal grandparents Ray and Faye Phillips of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother Wayne Phillips maternal grandmother Frances Sharpe and maternal grandfather Clyde Shambley. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Glen Raven Baptist Church by Rev. William Tex Bowes and Rev. Rick Johnson. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, inc. and at other times at the home of his mother and step father Betty and Jerry Moore, 4433 Burch Bridge Rd., Burlington.
