Dr. Lee

Dr. Dae Hee Lee, 63, died Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Duke University Medical Center. He was born in South Korea to the late Sang Deuck Lee and Soon Yi Kwon, who survives. He was married to Helen Lee, who survives. Dr. Lee was a graduate of Yonsei Medical School in 1970 and completed his family practice residency in Pennsylvania. In 1976, he came to work in Burlington, NC as an emergency room physician. He opened his own private practice as a family physician from 1977-2008. He was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Helen; sons: Dr. Samson Lee and wife Kathy of Seattle, WA, and Dr. Eddie Lee and wife Susie of Seattle, WA; and two grandchildren: Ryan and Kirsten. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Brookwood Baptist Church by Dr. Bob Felts, Rev. Tommy Love, and Dr. Kwan Young Kim. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
