Dr. Kincaid

Elon, NC Dr. Carl Kincaid, age 70, of 3619 Osceola Road went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 7, 2006 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was a native of Rowan County and the husband of 50 years to Delores Broadwell Kincaid who survives. Dr. Kincaid was serving as an interim minister for the past 2 months at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Hillsborough. Carl served as pastor for 15 years of Community Baptist Church in Salisbury and as pastor for 16 years at Ossipee Baptist Church in Ossipee before his retirement. He was presently serving as a trustee for the Mt. Zion Baptist Association. Carl was a veteran of the US Army as a paratrooper serving with the 77th Special Forces as a Green Beret. Carl was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed serving the Lord and ministering to people. Survivors include his wife, Delores Broadwell Kincaid of the home; daughter, Lynnette Warren of Elon; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Angela Kincaid of China Grove; grandchildren, Caleb Warren, Lucas and Samuel Kincaid; sister, Jean Goodnight of Garner. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Adam Kincaid and his mother and step father, Veda Brooks Kincaid Tucker and Carl Tucker; sisters, Betty Goodnight and Ruth Merritt; son-in-law, Rev. Danny Warren. The funeral services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Grove Park Baptist Church by Dr. Eugene Hunsinger. The graveside service will be on Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Rowan Memorial Park in Salisbury. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times the residence.
